I am going to write a few words about my home since my abode matters to me so much. After all, my home is where all my family is, but it is also a place where we gather for family meals. I came to the conclusion some time ago that in order to make things more creative around our house, we would have more custom-made things at home such as a custom printed tablecloth for example. We don’t have anything like that at home yet, so the tablecloth would be a nice addition to our existing decor.
I once went to the city of Saint Paul to apply for a job. During my stay, I had a chance to spend some time in a St Paul Hotel the name of which I don’t remember right now. I didn’t get that job, but no hard feelings here. At least I had a chance to see the city a little during my very short stay that I believe lasted only three days. It was one of the most memorable trips I have ever had and I would go back to Saint Paul if I could.
I like it that bigger cities such as St Paul have a lot to offer to all those who choose to visit them. There’s so much to do in St Paul at any time of year that it is going to take me some time before deciding what I will want to see and what I will have to skip. There’s simply so many attractions that I might not be able to fit all of them in my busy schedule when I am finally going to arrive there.
I look forward to my next visit to St Paul. I don’t know when it is going to take place yet, but I am sure that I am going to go back there one day. Something tells me that it is going to happen sooner rather than later and before I even know it, I will be back there participating in all those things that are so fun to take part in. I know that the city has a lot to offer to anybody no matter the age and no matter the gender. The city is beautiful in summer, but it is also beautiful in winter. It is no wonder then that there are so many tourists there even right now waiting to take part in all those attractions that the residents of St Paul prepared for them. I might also want to take my family with me provided that they are going to be free on the day when I will want to go to St Paul. Last time I went there I had to go alone, but this time I don’t want to be there alone anymore.
I will never forget the night of my prom. I still can recall how excited I was about the whole idea. The sky was clear on that day and the air felt so fresh. This was a very special time I am going to cherish for a very long time.
One of the reasons I have so many fond memories from this particular time in my life is probably due to the fact that we rented a luxury car to get us to the school. First of all, Portuguese are the real fans of football (equivalent of soccer in the American continent). Believe me, they really love this sport and made it their national tradition. One of the most renowned football players from this country include Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo – names I remember hearing a lot when I was younger. The main national team was second in Euro 2004 championships. Undoubtedly the biggest success of Portuguese team in the history of football was third place in 1966 FIFA World Cup.
Second, there is Portuguese music. Its traditional fado is still practiced by some artists whereas contemporary music also found its place in Portuguese music today. For me Portugal reminds me of music as my penpal was a musician himself. When I think about Lisbon I think about nightlife with streets crowded with people who came there to sit on cafeterias and listen to live music.
I am a big lover of warm and sunny beaches and Portugal definitely has them. Its coast is very wide and Portuguese architecture adds them a special climate. I really like South European style, especially sandy color of houses.
I could go on and go on writing about Portugal. It is such an exotic and intriguing country for me. I always thought that I know a lot about it, but after reading a bit more about Portugal I learned so many new facts. This country surprises me every time I have any contact with it.
My car broke down on a highway a couple of weeks ago. This was a huge surprise to me as I had thought that my car was in good condition. It turns out that I was wrong and it could have been a good idea to call transmission repair before anything like this happened. Unfortunately, I did not do such a thing and I regretted it very much.
So there I was, stranded on a highway on a rainy day far from any town or city. The drivers in cars that would pass near me didn’t really have a chance to help me in any way, so I was on my own. The good news was that I had my mobile phone with me, which I decided to use immediately to call for help. I always take my mobile phone with me wherever I go just to feel safer. This evening wasn’t an exception and I was able to make a few phone calls to figure out who was going to come to my rescue.
It didn’t take that long for the help to arrive, which was great, because it was really windy and cold on the highway. I wish I hadn’t been stranded on that particular day because I was on my way to meet a friend of mine, but when things like these happen, your friends understand why you are not going to show up.
The mechanic who took care of my car was very helpful and professional. This is something that I expected from somebody who repairs cars on a daily basis. It looked like he was knowledgeable enough to repair my car fast enough allowing me to enjoy the rest of the evening in peace.
If you don’t know anybody who can repair your car at any time, I suggest that you look for that person as soon as possible. The sooner you are going to find somebody to repair your car for you, the better for and the more spare time you are going to have on your hands.
